My First Real Post

So, here is my first blog posting. My cat already has a blog. I guess it seemed easier to start out blogging "as my cat". I'm a talkative but shy person, and I always have a lot to say, but never know how to say it. It was easier talking "as my cat". He will still have his blog, but I want to have mine too. Partly for practical reasons. See, he has lymphoma, and although he's in remission, it is very unlikely he will live for more than another year. I know that when he passes, it will be painful. It will be easier if I have somewhere else to keep blogging to fill that hole when he goes. I have three birds too, I suppose they can blog, but they don't move around the house and get into trouble quite the way the cat does.

I live on the East Coast. My interests include learning foreign languages (Currently studying Russian), swimming, reading, playing video games, and watching movies. I like to cook- but not out of a box, hubby would not allow that! :)
I am a tech support representative, currently working with wireless technologies. I have been providing technical support for 4 years now.

Another issue for me is my weight. I'm significantly overweight, and have recently joined Weight Watchers. I certainly hope it works for me. So far, I've lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks. I weigh in tomorrow morning- fingers crossed!
